Pearson Prentice Hall Algebra 1 help please?

I am a father trying to help his son learn Algebra, NOT a student trying to cheat on his homework. His book is Pearson Prentice Hall Algebra 1. There is a big section titled Extra Practice, but NO answers are provided. Without answers, it's useless. Even my son's teacher doesn't know where the answers are. So I ordered the Pearson Prentice Hall Algebra 1 Study Guide and Workbook, and it doesn't have answers either. I've written to Pearson, but no answer. Are there any math teachers out there who can tell me what the deal is with these useless books. Pearson Prentice Hall Algebra 1 help please?
Most textbooks are designed that way. Some only have answers for odd problem number.

They only provide food half chewed.

The idea is for different students to solve tho even numbers and compare results. Thats the way iT NOW WORKS.

Sometimes on the web there are SOLUTIONARIES for the whole book. But you have to be patient and look for them. It is painstaking.

Another way out is to join places like

Cramster.com A math study community ( like Yahoo Answers ) but only for Math and Science, where you post the problems and they solve them for U.

Good Luck.

When in need send me an e-mail and help you solve the difficult problems, with explanations
