How Do low voltage to high voltage transformers work?

Im generating an ac current of 700v, per generator, however i need to average about 1000 v per generator. i need to transform that lower voltage into the higher one. i then need to convert that ac current into dc to store the energy. how does the process of generating low to high voltage work??How Do low voltage to high voltage transformers work?it is called induction, but in everyday words it goes like this, if your using a step up transformer, than to make the volts go up, the amps or amperage come down.

Now 1000 volts at .0001 amps won't kill you,

but

1volt at 10 amps will fastHow Do low voltage to high voltage transformers work?It creates a change of flux in the coils. This in turn creates a current and hence a voltage. Assuming the system is ideal, it works at an efficiency of 100% and hence means that the coils are simply a ratio. So to get the desired voltage you would need 10:7 ratio on coils output:input.

Note by, transformers only work with AC voltage. As it alternates this creates the change in flux, and in turn the voltage.
