Why do movies like Transformers gross more than movies like Schindler's List?

Schindler's List is superior in every possible aspect. Why is this?Why do movies like Transformers gross more than movies like Schindler's List?Well, a movie like Transformers appeals more to a younger demographic. It's a thrill ride and an opportunity for friends and families to get together at the cinemas and enjoy!

While Schindler's List is more of a 'film' rather than a movie. Its every aspect is emotional, depressing, saddening, horrific, sympathetic, etc. It is an ASTOUNDING film. But only appeals more to a mature audience who would be able to understand the messages and emotions conveyed as well as the violent images portrayed in it.

I myself, am a 16 year old guy who LOVES film. I'm the type to watch a FILM in depth. I love more emotional, clever, greatly written, wonderfully directed, good acted films. But once in a while I enjoy the common blockbuster.

A couple reasons. Schindler's list is a Hard R and not anyone can see it any time they want While transformers has rating that allows all age groups especially it's Teen demographic. Schindler's list ticket prices were probably around 4-8 bucks a ticket respectively. Well, your wrong. Shindler's list doesn't have all the awesome action and cool affects lime transformers. Because most of the people just want to see special effects in the movies. They don't want to see true or hard drama story. All they want is like two hours of explosions and stuff. Sad but true. :(
