Do you believe the racial issue with the Twins on Transformers: ROTF was blown out of proportion?

Personally I believe it was but i want to here your thoughts on the matter. Everyone in the theatre, a mixed crowd in pasadena,tx laughed at everything, but some critics believe they are very degrading, what do you think?Do you believe the racial issue with the Twins on Transformers: ROTF was blown out of proportion?I don't believe they are supposed to be insulting.
