What order to read all of the Transformers series in?

I recently started reading comic books and I particularly like the Transformers series.

But there are so many different versions...Beast Wars, UK, Armada, ect.

So, what order should I read the series in?

( And I don't want to hear 'Whatever order you want' or 'Pick a series'. I want a serious answer on what the order should be. )

Thanks in advance~What order to read all of the Transformers series in?(pulling on my suspenders) I'd Never do that! But I'll point out each series for you and let you make up your own mind.

If you want to start at the beginning buy the G1 reprints by IDW, Volumes 1-4 (all that's out so far, there are other reprint paperbacks but these are the most recent and easiest to find)

Beast Wars was a TV series, only the official epilogues, The Gathering %26amp; Ascension, were made in comic format and are available as an Omnibus with all the released comic content.

There's the 2002 Dreamwave revival of the G1 story in 2 volumes, it's incomplete because that company fumbled the ball, it was cancelled but what's completed was reprinted by IDW.

The Armada series becomes the Energon series but was cancelled because of Dreamwave's closure and is incomplete. What was completed is reprinted by IDW.

More Than Meets The Eye was Dreamwave's profile book of all G1 characters, this at least was completed, but compatible with their continuity, and has been reprinted by IDW.

The G1 prequel series The War Within is available as an Omnibus book, it contains both mini-series detailing Optimus Prime's first days as Autobot Leader and The Fallen's return to Cybertron. This story is compatible with the Cartoon and Dreamwave continuities.

The current company publishing Transformers has done a reboot and is still going strong, the story arcs are in order:

Infiltration

Stormbringer

Escalation

Devastation

Maximum Dinobots

There are also Spotlight books containing individual stories about different characters that tie into the main story. it's still going and has been reprinted in 4 volumes so far.

Megatron: Origin is the prequel story to this continuity

All Hail Megatron is a 'Decepticons won' senerio

And there are the movie tie-in books if you care for what happens before each movie and after the first one. They occur chronologically in this order:

(Revenge of the Fallen prequel) Defiance

Saga of The All Spark

Official Movie Prequel

Transformers (movie)

Reign of Starscream

(Revenge of the Fallen prequel) Alliance

Tales of The Fallen

Transformers Revenge of The Fallen (movie)

I recommend the new IDW books, they restarted fresh and are meant for new fans that need little or no knowledge of any previous series to enjoy it. Nothing's the same and I, who has every series, love that about this new continuity. This is the series that's here to stay and it gets better and better with each arc
